One part of our charity involves the sponsorship of extremely needy students to attend school. We sponsor students from grade 7 up to grade 12 at Penyem Upper Basic and Senior Secondary School in the village of Penyem, in the South of The Gambia.

 

Every child we sponsor is in great need of your support and lives in extreme poverty. Many of them are orphans, or one parent has died, making the struggle even harder. Education is the only way these children will ever escape from poverty. We interview potential candidates and are faced with the difficult task of selecting ambitious, desperate students whose education wouldn't be possible without your kind donations. Without your help, they wouldn't really stand a chance. 

 

We are pleased to announce that with all of your help, as of 2021, we have managed to fund a total of 263 years of education for the most needy students from the surrounding villages of Penyem, who wouldn't otherwise be fortunate enough to go to school.
